Kings & Queens Child Care Center is the place where every child is royalty.  We are a 24-hour family childcare care environment serving the metropolitan area.  Our hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 a.m. daily with 1-hour closure for shift transition.  

 

Kings & Queens Child Care Center was founded when I left private contracting for the Department of Justice for over 21 years to care for aging parents and to provide support to needy families who could not find quality care for their children due to long waiting lists for infant slots.  Our doors were opened early when family members and friends obtained vouchers and insisted I open immediately because they were unhappy with their current childcare situations.  We strive hard to provide quality care for children and are proud of our results when children advance from our program ready and enthusiastic to attend their new school in the head start or preschool programs.

 

We work closely with other family child care teachers and centers in the District of Columbia to stay abreast of the constant changes in educational code of practice, government policies and procedures, technology, and common core standards in the field of Early Childhood Education.
